It's a whole new ballgame having a newborn. The amount of worrying I do has doubled since being pregnant. My husband's uncle received a picture over the weekend of our son. You know how most people have red eyes when a picture is taken? Well, our son's eyes were completely yellow. My uncle-in-law instantly emailed us and expressed his concern (he's an opthomologist) and one of the most caring and considerate people I know. He wanted us to come in as soon as possible to check our baby's eyes. Shoot, just that email was enough to have me worrying all day Sunday and Monday. But I definitely would rather be safe than sorry. Apparently there is condition that some newborns get where the yellow eyes is an indication of possible tumors. Thank goodness he didn't tell us this before the appoinment - lol, he probably knew I would be a mess! FJ had drops put in his eyes to dilate them (he did not like this one bit!) and everything turned out to be OK. I'm so thrilled that everything is alright and we are lucky enough to have family members who are in the medical field and care so much about our baby. If you happen to be concerned with your baby's vision or hearing just get it checked! It's better to know now so you can best help your baby for the future. Haha, I have no doubt that I will be worrying about my little baby boy off and on for the rest of my life. :)
