11/05/09- Paula's Eating/Exercise Journal: Thursday

Today I want to admit that even the most enthusiastic workout person ( I really do love doing workout), who's clean diet is important to me, can fall off the wagon at holiday times.  Halloween is hard for me.  My weakness is not fried food, or salt, its sugar.  I know that about myself and try to allow myself small sweet treats like 1 oz of dark chocolate, or non-fat frozen yogurt, hoping that small treats periodically,  will help in curbing my insatiable cravings for the sweet stuff, but...Halloween...really?  People are throwing candy treats at you ( and I have trick-or-treat age kids).  I didn't go insane, but I want you to know, I struggle with those cravings just like anyone else.  Just do better tomorrow if you can.  Recognize your demons, and create the best, clean eating environment you can, to block their influence!
11/5- Thursday Workout :

 Recumbent bike- 30 min

Strength train- biceps

Walk on the street- 90 minutes, 6.41 miles

21's - 26lb bar

Hammer curl- 12 lb

Concentrated curl- 20 lb

Biceps curl- 1 tube

11/5- Thursday  Food Diary: 

Breakfast-

1 apple (57 cal)

3/4 cup egg whites, 1 cup spinach, 2 cherry tomatoes (105 cal)

 A.M. Snack-

1 small apple (50 cal) 

1/2  cup yogurt, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1/8 blueberries/raspberries( 110 cal)

 Lunch- 

3.5 oz Tuna steak(180 cal)


Salad- 2 cups spinach, 4 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 yellow pepper, broccoli slaw, 1/2 oz. non fat feta (70 cal.)

P.M. Snack-

Soft serve hot fudge sundae ( 250 cal)

Dinner- 

 3 5/8 oz.  Orange Roughy ( 78 cal)
 
5 asparagus(22 cal)

1 Tomato (30 cal) 

 Dessert-

Homemade popcorn( 90 cal) 

Whole wheat toast ( 80 cal)

TOTAL CALORIES-1132
